Welcome to the Hohsaas Hut!
Welcome to 3,140 metres above sea level, high above Saas-Grund in the Saas Valley. The Hohsaas Hut is a mountain hut, mountain restaurant and starting point for unforgettable experiences in the heart of the Valais Alps – in both summer and winter.
In summer, we are a popular destination for hikers, mountaineers and nature lovers. Weissmies and Lagginhorn are right on our doorstep, surrounded by glaciers and an impressive panorama of numerous 4,000-metre peaks.
In winter, the Hohsaas Hut is located right in the heart of the Hohsaas ski area. Skiers, snowboarders and winter visitors can stop by, relax on our sunny terrace and enjoy a break with a unique view of the snow-covered mountain landscape.
Whether you come for a hike, a mountain tour, a day of skiing, a relaxing meal or an overnight stay, up here the mountains and the sky feel within reach.

Solar Eclipse at Hohsaas – 12 August 2026
A truly special evening at 3,140 metres: together with you, we had the pleasure of experiencing the solar eclipse high above the Saas Valley, surrounded by the impressive Valais mountain landscape and a truly unique atmosphere.
Thank you very much for sharing and enjoying this unforgettable natural spectacle with us. We were delighted to welcome you and hope that this extraordinary moment will stay in your memories for a long time.
